On February 10th, 2010 the United States and Chile announced the signing of a formal tax treaty eliminating many personal income tax and corporate income for residents of Chile and the United States. This treaty has yet to be ratified, but promises to decrease or eliminate many taxes in both countries and dramatically increase trade between Chile and the United States.
